August is absolutely the HOTTEST, stickiest month of the year!! Try coming in January. You’ll LOVE the weather.

And it’s for that very reason that I wish we had central ac rather than our window ac. It just doesn’t pump enough cold air for my needs. The shade tree in our side yard does a better job, imho. Maybe one day.
And I don’t know how you can stand Texas weather. I visited one year during August and almost melted like the Wicked Witch of the West. lol.

I have the same challenge being in Texas – and it is getting hotter every day. But I knit in the comfort of air-conditioned places. : )

It’s not my back that aches afterwards. It’s my hands. They hurt after knitting a while too. I try not to think about it. Aspirin helps. Port helps too.
